The pick of 200 Crossbred spring calving heifers available. This group are from many years of New Zealand breeding in a well established herd. With a mature live weight of 450kgs to 500kg/LW they are producing 430kgs/MS from 5000 litres. 20 heifers can be selected from a group of 43 in total . They start calving from mid February onwards and should be all calved in an 11 weeks block . The majority calving within 6 weeks.First 20 days the heifers were served to Dairy Bulls and then ran with a Pedigree Hereford Stock Bull They are not vaccinated for anything. The herd is being screened for Johnes and BVD. Johnes cases are extremely low and strict policies are in place. The herd has been TB free for 7 years or more.
